About The Position

The Assistant Operator supports machine operations and production activities. The role includes loading and unloading materials, feeding materials into machines, and assisting with machine setup according to specifications. The assistant monitors machine output and inspects products to ensure they meet quality standards. The position also involves moving materials and products around the work area, helping with routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting, following safety procedures, recording production and maintenance information, and collaborating with team members and supervisors.

Requirements

• Basic mechanical aptitude, including understanding mechanical concepts and troubleshooting basic machinery issues.

• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive tasks, and lift materials.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials, feed materials into machines, and assist with machine setup according to specifications.
• Monitor machine output and inspect products for defects and compliance with quality standards.
• Move materials and products around the work area using equipment such as forklifts or hand trucks.
• Assist with basic machine maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs.
• Assist the machine operator in identifying and resolving machinery issues.
• Follow safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
• Record production data, machine malfunctions, and maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with team members, communicate with supervisors, and participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives.
