About The Position

The Assistant Operator sets up and operates machines in the designated department, runs materials through machines according to company specifications, and ensures the correct materials are used to meet customer specifications. The role includes maintaining accurate inventory entries, inspecting product quality, and meeting quality and efficiency standards. The employee follows company safety policies, reports concerns related to machine maintenance, and assists with two-person feeds as needed. Duties may be expanded or changed at any time. This position has no supervisory responsibilities and does not require a certificate, license, or registration.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
• Ability to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of equipment design and capabilities that can be translated into efficient operation.
• Ability to read and interpret product layouts and production specifications.

Nice To Haves

• Manufacturing experience in the corrugated industry is preferred.
