About The Position

The Assistant Moving Center Manager supports the day-to-day operations of a U-Haul center, frequently taking responsibility for center operations and helping ensure customers receive excellent service. The role works as part of a team and provides opportunities to develop operational and leadership skills. The assistant manager runs daily operations when the General Manager is absent, makes decisions about allocating time and resources, assigns team members, performs miscellaneous center services, and participates in continuing education through U-Haul University. The position is located at 12215 Lyndon B Johnson Fwy, Garland, Texas 75041. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship. The position is not eligible for employer sponsorship.

Requirements

Driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving record.
Leadership experience in any form.
Customer service experience.
Ability to work a variety of shifts.
Must be legally authorized to work and must not require employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Run the center’s daily operations in the General Manager’s absence.
Make moment-to-moment decisions to allocate time and resources to appropriate projects.
Manage and assign team members to ensure customers receive an excellent first impression and high-quality care.
Perform miscellaneous duties, such as installing hitches and brake controllers, handling propane, and managing storage.
Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
