About The Position

The Assistant Moving Center Manager supports the daily operations of a U-Haul center and assumes responsibility for running the center when the General Manager is absent. The role involves helping customers, allocating time and resources, assigning and managing team members, and contributing to a high-quality customer experience. It also includes hands-on work such as installing hitches and brake controllers, as well as participating in ongoing training through U-Haul University. The position is located at 4360 Covington Hwy, Decatur, Georgia 30035. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship. The work may involve moderate risks and exposure to moving parts, machines, fumes, or irritating chemicals, with protective gear required in some circumstances. Physical duties include working indoors and outdoors for extended periods, traversing spaces, repositioning to use tools, and moving items weighing at least 50 pounds, with or without assistance. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving record.
Leadership experience in any form.
Customer service experience.
Ability to work a variety of shifts.
Legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Run the center’s daily operations in the General Manager’s absence.
Make moment-to-moment decisions about allocating time and resources to appropriate projects.
Manage and assign team members to help ensure customers receive an excellent first impression and high-quality care.
Perform miscellaneous duties, including installing hitches and brake controllers.
Participate in ongoing education through U-Haul University.
