About The Position

U-Haul is hiring an Assistant Moving Center Manager to help run the day-to-day operations of a moving center and step in for the General Manager when needed. The role includes supporting the team, assigning work, helping ensure customers receive excellent service, and performing equipment-related duties. The position is based at 5810 San Pedro Ave, San Antonio, Texas 78212. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship. The role requires working a variety of shifts and includes some physical work indoors and outdoors. U-Haul offers a paid hands-on working interview, a $100 hiring bonus, and a $300 cash bonus upon completion of its equipment inspection and verification certification program at retail stores.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving record.
Leadership experience in any form.
Customer service experience.
Ability to work a variety of shifts.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Run the center’s daily operations in the General Manager’s absence.
Make decisions about allocating time and resources to appropriate projects.
Manage and assign team members to help ensure customers receive an excellent first impression and high-quality care.
Perform miscellaneous duties, such as installing hitches and brake controllers.
Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
