Assistant Moving Center Manager
About The Position
U-Haul is hiring an Assistant Moving Center Manager to help operate a moving center in Scottsdale, Arizona. The assistant manager frequently handles the center’s day-to-day operations, including running operations in the General Manager’s absence, making decisions about time and resources, and assigning team members to deliver excellent customer service. The role also includes hands-on tasks such as installing hitches and brake controllers, along with ongoing training through U-Haul University. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving record.
- Leadership experience in any form.
- Customer service experience.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts.
Responsibilities
- Run the center’s daily operations in the General Manager’s absence.
- Make moment-to-moment decisions about allocating time and resources to projects.
- Manage and assign team members to ensure customers receive an excellent first impression and high-quality care.
- Perform miscellaneous duties, including installing hitches and brake controllers.
- Participate in ongoing education through U-Haul University.
