About The Position

The Assistant Moving Center Manager supports the day-to-day operations of a U-Haul center and helps ensure customers receive high-quality service. The role may be responsible for center operations in the General Manager’s absence, while developing management skills through hands-on experience and ongoing training at U-Haul University. Duties may also include installing hitches and brake controllers. The position is located at 100 SE 2nd St, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73129. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship. The work environment may involve moving machinery, fumes, or irritant chemicals and may require protective gear. The job also involves physical activity, including working indoors and outdoors, traversing spaces, using tools, and moving at least 50 pounds with or without assistance.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving record.
Leadership experience in any form.
Customer service experience.
Ability to work a variety of shifts.
Must be legally authorized to work without employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Run the center’s daily operations in the General Manager’s absence.
Make moment-to-moment decisions about allocating time and resources to appropriate projects.
Manage and assign team members to ensure customers receive an excellent first impression and high-quality care.
Perform miscellaneous duties such as installing hitches and brake controllers.
Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
