About The Position

U-Haul is hiring an Assistant Moving Center Manager to help operate a moving center and develop leadership skills. The role frequently involves handling the center’s day-to-day operations, including running operations in the General Manager’s absence, making decisions about time and resources, and assigning team members to provide customers with excellent service. The position also includes hands-on equipment-related duties, such as installing hitches and brake controllers, and ongoing training through U-Haul University. The role is based at 3133 E Parham Rd, Henrico, Virginia 23228, and is not eligible for employer sponsorship. Applicants must be legally authorized to work without employer sponsorship.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving record.
Leadership experience in any form.
Customer service experience.
Ability to work a variety of shifts.

Responsibilities

Run the center’s daily operations in the General Manager’s absence.
Make moment-to-moment decisions about allocating time and resources to appropriate projects.
Manage and assign team members to ensure customers receive an excellent first impression and high-quality care.
Perform miscellaneous duties such as installing hitches and brake controllers.
Participate in ongoing education through U-Haul University.
