About The Position

U-Haul is hiring an Assistant Moving Center Manager to help lead the day-to-day operations of a moving center and support customers and team members. The assistant manager runs center operations in the General Manager’s absence, makes decisions about allocating time and resources, and assigns work to team members to provide excellent customer service. The role may also include installing hitches and brake controllers, handling propane, and managing storage. The position is located at 12215 Lyndon B Johnson Fwy, Garland, Texas 75041. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship.

Requirements

Driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving record.
Leadership experience in any form.
Customer service experience.
Ability to work a variety of shifts.

Responsibilities

Run the center’s daily operations in the General Manager’s absence.
Make timely decisions about allocating time and resources to appropriate projects.
Manage and assign team members to ensure customers receive an excellent first impression and high-quality care.
Perform miscellaneous duties such as installing hitches and brake controllers, handling propane, and managing storage.
Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
