About The Position

The Assistant Moving Center Manager helps oversee the center’s day-to-day operations, including running the center in the General Manager’s absence and supporting the team to provide excellent customer service. The role involves allocating time and resources, assigning team members, and performing duties such as installing hitches and brake controllers. Ongoing training is provided through U-Haul University. The position is located at 3749 Altama Ave, Brunswick, Georgia 31520. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship. U-Haul states it will not hire or re-hire nicotine-product users in Georgia and other listed states. The work may involve moderate safety risks, indoor and outdoor activity, and moving at least 50 pounds with or without assistance.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving record.
Leadership experience in any form.
Customer service experience.
Ability to work a variety of shifts.
Legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship.
Must not use nicotine products to be eligible for hire or re-hire in Georgia.

Responsibilities

Run the center’s daily operations in the General Manager’s absence.
Make moment-to-moment decisions about allocating time and resources to appropriate projects.
Manage and assign team members to ensure customers receive an excellent first impression and high-quality care.
Perform miscellaneous duties such as installing hitches and brake controllers.
Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
