About The Position

The Assistant Manager of Hospitality oversees Sheetz’s commitment to total customer focus and ensures that hospitality and customer-service standards are met across inventory, preparation, promotion, production, service, and sales. The role also leads day-to-day store operations when the Store Manager is absent and supports recruitment, selection, training, and performance management. The posting notes an additional $1.50 per hour for work from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Successful completion of certification testing as needed.
ServeSafe certification.
Any other legally required certification.

Nice To Haves

Two-year degree in a business-related field.
One year of experience supervising others in a fast food, restaurant, retail, or convenience operation.

Responsibilities

Support the Store Manager with recruitment, selection, training, and performance management of store employees.
Have input into employee scheduling.
Address customer questions, complaints, and concerns.
Monitor employee compliance with Sheetz policies, procedures, and programs.
Follow up on responses from customer-service shops, QA audits, secret shops, and SMG surveys.
Oversee timely customer transactions, facility and store cleanliness, and compliance with hospitality standards.
Check end-of-day tasks to ensure they are completed.
Maintain merchandise shelves through proper placement, pricing, and replenishment.
Oversee profit-management processes, including shrink indicators, lottery, stock audits, vendors, car wash operations, and retail waste.
Lead day-to-day store operations in the Store Manager’s absence.
