About The Position

The Visionworks Optical Supervisor/Assistant Manager is a leader who supports the business and models the Visionworks way. The position supervises the store in the General Manager’s absence and supports the General Manager in achieving store financial goals through floor leadership, accountability, and coaching and development for associates. The role helps deliver a simple, human, and bold patient and customer journey. The Assistant Manager promotes store profitability and sales goals, participates in and oversees the patient/customer journey, supports appointment and service coordination, and helps resolve customer experience issues in partnership with the General Manager. The role also executes broad operational activities to meet financial and customer experience goals.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
1–5 years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

Promote store profitability and achievement of sales goals by holding self and the team accountable for daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
Model and participate in all steps of the patient/customer journey, and supervise and redirect associates in the exam lane and on the sales floor.
Support the General Manager in managing incoming traffic by coordinating and confirming doctor appointments and scheduled eyewear services and ensuring patient/customer needs are met.
Coach, motivate, and support associates in their roles to deliver an excellent patient/customer experience.
Use sound judgment to remove obstacles and resolve issues in the patient/customer experience in partnership with the General Manager.
Execute broad operational activities to meet the store’s financial and customer experience goals.
Supervise the store in the General Manager’s absence.
