About The Position

The Assistant Manager (Operations) helps lead the team, support daily store operations, and create an exceptional customer experience. This position is cross-trained between Food Service and Front-of-Store. The Assistant Manager coaches Team Members, keeps the store running smoothly, and helps foster a culture of service, teamwork, and accountability. This posting is for current Maverik team members only.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old to apply.
• Must be flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by 24/7 store operations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with Team Members and provide exceptional customer experiences.
• Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure while delivering exceptional customer service.
• Strong problem-solving skills, including recognizing and analyzing issues and creating effective solutions.
• Must obtain and maintain the food safety certification required by the applicable state or local jurisdiction.
• Ability to work safely with equipment that generates and maintains high temperatures while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Frequent standing, walking, handling, and horizontal reaching; reaching above shoulder level and below the waist; bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, and pushing; and lifting, carrying, or moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

• At least 1 year of supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Champion Maverik’s GET (Greet, Engage, and Thank) customer service expectations by modeling the behaviors, coaching Team Members on consistent execution, and holding the team accountable for a welcoming and engaging customer experience.
• Work alongside the team when needed to help ensure the store and Food Service operation run smoothly.
• Assist with training, mentoring, and supervising all Team Members.
• Support daily store operations and provide great customer service.
