About The Position

Goodwill of Southwestern Pennsylvania is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Assistant Manager to build a career in retail while contributing to community programs. The Assistant Manager assists the Store Manager with retail outlet operations, oversees store operations, and supervises assigned personnel when the Store Manager is absent. The role provides leadership and direction to staff, program participants, donors, and customers to help achieve production and quality goals, meet sales expectations, and operate the store efficiently. It also helps ensure that organizational policies and procedures are applied positively and that staff and retail facilities maintain a positive internal and external appearance. Local travel may be required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of management experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Organizational, problem-solving, and management skills.
• Customer- and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager with retail outlet operations.
• Oversee store operations.
• Supervise assigned personnel in the Store Manager’s absence.
