About The Position

The Assistant Manager supports the department manager in operating the Accessories & Shoes department at State Street Rack. The role focuses on directive selling, achieving sales goals, delivering an exceptional customer experience, developing a successful team, and supporting department volume and productivity goals. The Assistant Manager helps execute business plans, maintain merchandising and presentation standards, build customer loyalty through active selling, and support accurate inventory management and shrinkage goals. The position is suited to someone aspiring to grow into a Department Manager role.

Requirements

A track record of successful results, such as strong productivity or personal trade.
Competitive drive and entrepreneurial confidence to succeed in a commission-based environment.
Ability to set and achieve sales goals.
Experience developing and maintaining productive relationships with department and store managers, divisional retail merchandisers, and other leaders.
Strong organizational and follow-through skills.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
