About The Position

The Assistant Manager builds and develops a well-rounded team of Sales Associates, trains and coaches employees, and leads by example to achieve store sales goals. The role includes proactively greeting customers, developing lasting relationships, selling tile and related products, and learning the installation process to educate customers. The Assistant Manager also learns and applies knowledge of store and warehouse operations, tracks sales goals, provides customers with product delivery updates, and maintains standards that protect The Tile Shop brand. Additional duties include developing schedules for Associates and Warehouse Personnel, maintaining inventory accuracy, and using sound business practices. First-year income is expected to be $60,000–$75,000 at target.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in retail management.
• Previous sales experience.
• Ability to build, develop, and motivate a sales team.
• Strong work ethic and drive to exceed expectations.
• Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, commission sales environment.
• Openness to learning and growing independently and from feedback.
• Positive attitude and contagious enthusiasm.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Basic mathematical and computer skills.
• Ability to read, write, and speak in English.
• Weekend availability.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a related field.
• Sense of design, including the ability to put together various styles, colors, and textures.
