About The Position

The Assistant Manager builds and develops a well-rounded team of Sales Associates, trains and coaches employees on policies, procedures, and job duties, and helps lead the store to achieve sales goals. The role involves proactively greeting customers, developing lasting relationships, selling tile and related products, and learning the installation process to educate customers. The Assistant Manager also learns and uses knowledge of store and warehouse operations, tracks established store sales goals, provides customers with product delivery updates, and maintains professional standards that protect The Tile Shop brand. Additional duties include developing schedules for Associates and Warehouse Personnel, maintaining inventory accuracy, and using sound business practices. First-year income is expected to be $60,000–$75,000 at target.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in retail management.
• Previous sales experience.
• Proven ability to build, develop, and motivate a sales team.
• Weekend availability.
• Strong work ethic and drive to exceed expectations.
• Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, commission sales environment.
• Willingness to learn and grow independently and from feedback.
• Positive attitude and contagious enthusiasm.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Sense of design, including the ability to combine styles, colors, and textures.
• Basic mathematical and computer skills.
• Ability to read, write, and speak in English.
