About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager (ASM) is a key store leader who supports the Store Manager in driving sales results, coaching the team, and keeping the store running effectively. The role leads by example on the sales floor, stays connected to customers and teammates, and takes ownership of store execution to deliver a strong customer experience. The ASM helps manage daily store operations, maintains store standards, supports associate development, and serves as Manager on Duty when scheduled. The position requires flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

At least 1 year of retail experience, preferably in a leadership or key-holding role.
Ability to coach, motivate, and engage a diverse team.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Reliable, self-motivated, and ready to take ownership.
Basic understanding of retail KPIs and operational processes.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience as a Key Holder, Supervisor, or Assistant Manager.
Experience in a fast-paced or high-volume retail environment.
Interest in pursuing long-term career growth in retail leadership.

Responsibilities

Lead by example on the sales floor, bringing energy, confidence, and solutions to customer interactions.
Coach the team to deliver great service, share product knowledge, and keep customers excited to shop.
Support sales goals by staying engaged on the floor and helping the team follow through with customers.
Help manage daily store operations, including opening and closing, cash handling, and floor coverage.
Keep the store organized, customer-ready, and running smoothly.
Follow safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures to protect customers, teammates, and products.
Address issues, maintain standards, and take ownership of store execution.
Use retail technology and digital tools to enhance the customer experience, support sales-floor associates, and improve operational efficiency.
Serve as Manager on Duty when scheduled, providing leadership and direction.
Support hiring, onboarding, and training of store associates.
Coach teammates in real time, recognize successes, and help address performance gaps.
Support the team and store priorities wherever needed.
