About The Position

Kneaders Bakery & Cafe is hiring a full- or part-time Hourly Assistant Manager to lead a team and support a bakery-cafe offering scratch-baked bread and pastries, soups, salads, and sandwiches made with whole ingredients. The role combines restaurant leadership, customer service, and a focus on food quality and community.

The Assistant Manager demonstrates resilience by handling leadership tasks such as scheduling and inventory while providing consistent customer service; respect by listening to ideas, concerns, and feedback and collaborating with management teams and customers on improvements; and readiness by building and developing the team and helping employees grow in their careers.

The position requires continuous standing and walking during shifts, with limited opportunities to sit, and the ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, ingredients, and supplies. Essential job functions must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation. Applicants must be at least 18 years old.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of fast-paced restaurant or retail leadership experience.
• Attentiveness to local, state, and federal food-handler and sanitation regulations.
• Experience meeting operational goals and identifying improvements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to stand and walk continuously throughout the shift, with limited opportunities for sitting.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, ingredients, and supplies.
