About The Position

The Assistant Manager/Manager in Training is responsible for all facets of operating a Papa Murphy’s store. The role performs the functions outlined in the Shift Supervisor job description in addition to the duties listed below. The position trains and prepares to move into the next available Store Manager position within the market. The franchisee is the employer and independently sets its wage and benefit programs, which may vary among franchisees.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• 1–2 years of previous supervisory and quick-service restaurant (QSR) management experience.
• Must pass a criminal background and credit history check.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Basic computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, internet, and POS.
• Basic reading and math skills, including weights and measurements.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to maintain regular attendance.
• Ability to stand on a hard surface for long periods.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move 25–30 pounds.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel.
• Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.

Responsibilities

• Report to the assigned workstation in full uniform and ready to begin work at the scheduled time.
• Complete daily and weekly store paperwork, including Weekly Sales Reports (WSR), inventory reports, and labor breakdown reports.
• Go to the bank to purchase change and pick up deposit bags.
• Place and receive food and beverage orders.
• Train team members in all store positions.
• Assist the Store Manager with team member orientations and provide hiring recommendations to the Manager.
• Supervise and operate the store independently for prolonged periods in the Store Manager’s absence, such as during vacations.
• Train and prepare to move to the next available Store Manager position within the market.
