About The Position

Xcite Automotive is seeking an Automotive Detail Shop Assistant Manager to support dealership partners in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. This is a hands-on leadership role supporting daily detail shop workflow, guiding the detail team, conducting quality checks, and assisting with interior and exterior detailing as needed. The position is suited to someone who can lead by example, stay organized in a fast-paced dealership environment, and help ensure vehicles are cleaned, detailed, and ready for retail.

Requirements

At least 2 years of professional automotive detailing experience, including interior and exterior detailing.
Prior supervisory, lead, or assistant manager experience in a shop, dealership, or reconditioning environment.
Strong knowledge of detailing products, tools, and safety practices.
Reliable transportation and full-time availability, including weekends if needed.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and support a dealership workflow.
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience as a Detail Shop Manager, Assistant Manager, or Lead Detailer.
Background in dealership operations or reconditioning services.
Ability to train and mentor detailers on best practices and quality standards.
Strong problem-solving and time management abilities.

Responsibilities

Support daily detail shop operations, vehicle workflow, and production priorities.
Lead, train, and support detailers, car wash attendants, porters, and reconditioning team members.
Perform interior and exterior detailing as needed.
Complete quality control checks to ensure vehicles are clean, detailed, and dealership-ready.
Monitor turnaround time, productivity, and vehicle completion status.
Communicate shop updates, delays, staffing needs, and quality concerns to management.
