About The Position

Chipotle’s Assistant Manager role is an opportunity to support the day-to-day operations of a restaurant while developing toward a General Manager position. The Assistant Manager learns to run a strong business, hire and train employees, and deliver a guest-focused experience. The role includes leading restaurant operations while on duty, developing crew members, and maintaining Chipotle’s hospitality, food safety, operational, and compliance standards. The position involves a standard 50-hour workweek, including evening and weekend shifts, with applicable overtime paid. Work takes place in a fast-paced kitchen and restaurant environment and includes interacting with customers, standing and walking around the restaurant for up to 10 hours a day, lifting up to 50 pounds/25 kilograms, working around varied temperatures, tasting and preparing food, and communicating with the Chipotle team and customers.

Lead the restaurant while on duty, ensuring speed of service and order accuracy.
Train and develop crew members using Chipotle’s training tools and resources.
Ensure digital orders are accurate and delivered on time.
Learn and support day-to-day restaurant operations, including scheduling, P&L management, sales forecasting, recruiting, and interviewing.
Keep the dining room clean and the restaurant guest-ready.
Uphold food safety, operational, and compliance standards.
