About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager (ASM) is a key store leader who helps bring sneaker culture to life by leading with energy, ownership, and purpose. The role supports the Store Manager in driving sales results, coaching the team, and maintaining strong daily store operations. Assistant Store Managers are hands-on leaders who stay connected to customers and teammates and take ownership of the store experience.

The ASM leads on the sales floor, helps deliver a positive customer experience, supports sales goals, and assists with store operations such as opening and closing, cash handling, floor coverage, safety, loss prevention, and operational standards. The role also provides team leadership, including serving as Manager on Duty when scheduled and supporting hiring, onboarding, training, and real-time coaching.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of retail experience, preferably in a leadership or key-holding role.
• Ability to coach, motivate, and engage a diverse team.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and ready to take ownership.
• Basic understanding of retail KPIs and operational processes.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a Key Holder, Supervisor, or Assistant Manager.
• Experience in a fast-paced or high-volume retail environment.
• Interest in pursuing long-term career growth in retail leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example on the sales floor, bringing energy, confidence, and solutions to customer interactions.
• Coach the team to deliver strong service, share product knowledge, and keep customers engaged.
• Support sales goals by remaining active on the floor and helping the team follow through with customers.
• Assist with daily store operations, including opening and closing, cash handling, and floor coverage.
• Keep the store organized, customer-ready, and running smoothly.
• Follow safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures.
• Address issues, maintain standards, and take ownership of store execution.
• Use retail technology and digital tools to improve customer experience, support associates, and enable efficient operations.
• Serve as Manager on Duty when scheduled, providing leadership and direction.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and training of store associates.
• Coach teammates in real time, recognize successes, and help address performance gaps.
• Support the team and store priorities wherever needed.
