About The Position

The Retail Assistant Manager partners with the Store Manager to lead and develop the store team, helping deliver T-Mobile’s customer experience goals and support Mobile Associate success. The role involves coaching and training employees, maintaining a strong store environment, managing customer wait times, and helping the store achieve financial results.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of customer service and/or sales experience; retail experience preferred.
• Available to work a varied schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lead and mentor people to deliver results.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact with teammates and customers.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

• Retail environment experience.
• Bilingual Spanish-speaking ability.

Responsibilities

• Orient and develop store employees around T-Mobile’s customer-service standards and Manifesto.
• Ensure customers’ needs are met and help employees provide comfortable, simple experiences that solve customers’ problems.
• Observe Mobile Associates’ customer interactions and provide feedback for development, training, and coaching.
• Manage customer wait times and stay current on products, services, and promotions.
• Lead by example by keeping up with products, services, training, and leadership practices.
• Work directly with Mobile Associates to support monthly success measurements and timely completion of assigned training.
• Help maintain the store environment and follow national planogram standards.
• Use and maintain visual displays and interactive devices, and assist with executing Retail Methods & Procedures.
• Ensure the team understands store systems and corporate and store communications.
• Deliver financial results based on key performance indicators, identify ways to control store expenses, and manage discounting and credits.
