About The Position

The Assistant Manager helps lead a Jersey Mike’s Subs restaurant and support a positive, community-oriented team culture. The role focuses on providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean restaurant, and ensuring efficient daily operations. The Assistant Manager leads a crew of 3 to 7 employees, supports training, and fills in for the Manager when needed. Responsibilities also include opening and closing tasks, food preparation, scheduling, and inventory ordering.

Requirements

High school degree or equivalent.
Must be 18 years or older to operate the slicer.
Serve Safe Food Handler certification.
Reliable transportation.
Excellent menu and product knowledge.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Desire to improve personal capabilities and skill sets.
Ability to communicate effectively with guests.
Ability to meet schedule requirements and perform reliably.

Nice To Haves

One year of quick-service restaurant (QSR) experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain a restaurant that is noticeably cleaner than others.
Work in a fast-paced, team-driven atmosphere and multitask with a sense of urgency.
Interact with customers and provide an exceptional experience.
Serve as a key holder and perform tasks related to opening and closing the store.
Bake bread and perform food preparation tasks.
Lead a crew of 3 to 7 people.
Slice products proficiently.
Create employee schedules.
Place inventory orders.
Fill in for the Manager in all capacities when needed.
Assist with employee training.
Lead by example.
Participate in management team meetings and strategy sessions.
Participate in Jersey Mike’s training programs.
Meet schedule requirements and be a reliable performer.
