About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager (ASM) is a key store leader who supports the Store Manager in driving sales results, coaching the team, and maintaining strong day-to-day store operations. The role leads by example on the sales floor, stays connected to customers and teammates, and takes ownership of store execution to deliver a positive customer experience.

The ASM helps bring sneaker culture to life through energetic, hands-on leadership and an “Always on, Never no” mindset. Responsibilities include supporting daily operations, coaching associates, maintaining store standards, and serving as Manager on Duty when scheduled. The position requires flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of retail experience, preferably in a leadership or key-holding role.
• Ability to coach, motivate, and engage a diverse team.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and ready to take ownership.
• Basic understanding of retail KPIs and operational processes.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a Key Holder, Supervisor, or Assistant Manager.
• Experience in a fast-paced or high-volume retail environment.
• Interest in pursuing long-term career growth in retail leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example on the sales floor and bring energy, confidence, and solutions to customer interactions.
• Coach the team to deliver strong service, share product knowledge, and create an engaging shopping experience.
• Support sales goals through floor engagement and by helping the team follow through with customers.
• Help manage daily store operations, including opening and closing, cash handling, and floor coverage.
• Keep the store organized, customer ready, and running smoothly.
• Follow safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures to protect customers, teammates, and product.
• Address issues, maintain standards, and take ownership of store execution.
• Use retail technology and digital tools to enhance customer experience, enable associates, and support efficient operations.
• Serve as Manager on Duty when scheduled, providing leadership and direction.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and training of store associates.
• Coach teammates in real time, recognize wins, and help close performance gaps.
• Support the team and store priorities wherever needed.
