About The Position

Clarks is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to support store leadership and help create a successful sales and performance culture. The role supports team selling, recruitment, associate training and development, goal setting, and store operations. The Assistant Manager also helps analyze profit and loss, leads associates through company initiatives, ensures products are merchandised according to company direction, and helps maintain the safety and security of associates and customers. In the Store Manager’s absence, the Assistant Manager is responsible for employee relations issues within the store.

Responsibilities

• Partner with store leadership to drive a successful culture of sales and performance.
• Support a team selling environment.
• Participate in all areas of store recruitment.
• Teach, coach, and train store associates within an established timeframe.
• Help set reachable but high goals for themselves and associates, and ensure the store has the staffing levels needed to achieve total store goals.
• Handle employee relations issues within the store in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Participate in analysis of the P&L.
• Lead associates through change and champion company initiatives.
• Ensure products are merchandised according to company directives.
• Ensure the safety and security of associates and customers.
