About The Position

Braum’s Assistant Managers execute the company’s brand strategy and promote its vision, mission, and values to deliver a strong customer experience and maximize sales. They support store crew members and help the team achieve unit goals. The role oversees daily operations across the food service function, grocery market, and fountain sales, while helping ensure company policies and practices are followed.

This position works an expected 45-hour week, with workdays varying according to a rotating three-week schedule. The shift is 2:00 p.m. to close. The Assistant Manager reports to the Store Manager. Hourly compensation is $16.50–$17.00, with stated annual compensation of $51,000–$54,500. The role also participates in a top-of-the-line bonus program, paid biweekly.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience.
• Retail management experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have a valid driver license.
• Customer focus and a strong work ethic with a high standard for integrity.
• Positive approach to training, developing, and interacting with all levels of the store team.
• Ability to adapt to customer and employee needs and store conditions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with leadership team members.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to follow practices and procedures.
• Criminal background check and job-fit assessment are required as part of onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Teach, coach, and provide leadership to store crew members.
• Maximize store sales through customer satisfaction and food quality.
• Oversee daily operations of the food service function, grocery market, and fountain sales.
• Monitor inventory and supply levels, kitchen equipment, safety, and cleanliness as needed.
• Help ensure store policies and practices are implemented and followed.
• Build an environment of trust and align the team to enhance performance.
• Review, understand, and analyze reporting results.
• Follow up and follow through with discipline, and initiate action to achieve goals.
