About The Position

Jersey Mike’s Subs is seeking an Assistant Manager to help deliver high-quality subs and exceptional customer service in a fast-paced, team-driven restaurant. The role supports restaurant operations and team development while contributing to a welcoming, community-oriented culture. The Assistant Manager helps maintain a noticeably clean restaurant, supports and leads a crew of 3 to 7 people, and fills in for the Manager as needed. Responsibilities also include opening and closing tasks, food preparation, scheduling, inventory ordering, employee training, and participation in management meetings and strategy sessions.

Requirements

High school degree or equivalent.
Must be 18 years or older to operate the slicer.
Serve Safe Certification - Food Handler.
Reliable transportation.
Excellent menu and product knowledge.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Desire to improve personal capabilities and skill sets.
Ability to communicate effectively with guests.
Ability to meet schedule requirements and be a reliable performer.

Nice To Haves

One year of quick-service restaurant (QSR) experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain a restaurant that is noticeably cleaner than others.

Interact with customers and provide an exceptional experience.
Serve as a key holder and perform tasks related to opening and closing the store.
Bake bread and perform food preparation.
Manage and lead a crew of 3 to 7 people.
Slice products proficiently.
Create employee schedules.
Place inventory orders.
Fill in for the Manager in all capacities when needed.
Assist with employee training.
Lead by example.
Participate in management team meetings and strategy sessions.
Participate in Jersey Mike’s training programs.
Meet schedule requirements and perform reliably.
