About The Position

BoxLunch is seeking a full-time Assistant Manager to help lead its pop-culture-driven retail brand and support its mission to fight hunger through donations to Feeding America. The Assistant Manager supports the Store Manager in meeting sales objectives, recruiting and developing employees, and building customer relationships. The role combines sales leadership, team development, store operations, merchandising, and customer engagement.

Requirements

• At least 1–2 years of retail store management experience.
• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Communication, recruiting, and operations skills, including payroll, reporting, scheduling, and merchandising.
• Time management, professionalism, and a drive to develop team members.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-changing retail environment.
• Ability to navigate the store, merchandise products using approved store equipment, and pack and unpack boxes weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in achieving sales plans and comparable-sales goals.
• Help recruit, develop, and retain a collaborative, passionate store team.
• Promote new products, use social media, and encourage customer engagement with services such as BOPIS and curbside pickup.
• Help ensure the business runs effectively by balancing operations, delegation, and customer-first selling practices.
• Monitor shrink and loss prevention, payroll hours, and associate schedules.
• Communicate with retail leadership and headquarters partners about trends and customer feedback.
• Run sales reports and use data to guide strategies for meeting sales targets.
• Merchandise the store using planograms as a guide and launch promotions on time.
• Partner with the Store Manager to develop loyal, high-performing, customer-focused associates.
