About The Position

High Plainz Strains is hiring a working Assistant Manager for its Fort Lupton dispensary. The Assistant Manager runs the store during assigned shifts, directs Front Desk Associates and Budtenders, handles cash and operational responsibilities, resolves customer and employee issues, and supports the Store Manager. The role calls for someone who takes ownership of a shift and keeps the store operating smoothly, rather than simply completing a task list. Assistant Managers may open or close the dispensary and are responsible for accurate cash accounting, including preparing and balancing drawers, reconciling the safe and ATM, tracking cash transfers, recording authorized payments and tips, and investigating and documenting discrepancies. They handle customer issues escalated by frontline employees, seek appropriate solutions within company policy, and help maintain a professional, organized and compliant retail environment. The role also includes helping ensure Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division procedures are followed, addressing procedural and performance problems, giving professional feedback, and documenting or escalating issues when appropriate. The position offers experience in employee supervision, cash control, customer escalation, compliance, opening and closing, shift execution and retail decision-making. High Plainz Strains describes a typical retail progression from Front Desk Associate or Budtender to Lead Budtender, Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager; advancement depends on demonstrated skills, judgment, performance and available opportunities. This is a full-time, on-site position in Fort Lupton, Colorado. Management shifts may be assigned within a scheduling window of approximately 7:30 AM to 10:30 PM, Monday through Sunday, including opening, daytime and closing shifts. Weekend and holiday availability may be required. Compensation is $19.00 per hour plus tips; tip income varies and is not guaranteed. Applicants must be at least 21 and the successful candidate must hold an active Colorado MED Employee License before beginning regulated cannabis work.
