About The Position

High Plainz Strains is hiring a working Assistant Manager for its Fort Lupton dispensary. The role supports the Store Manager and runs the store during assigned shifts, providing direction to Front Desk Associates and Budtenders while handling customer and employee issues, cash, and daily operational responsibilities. The Assistant Manager is expected to take ownership of the shift, make reasonable decisions, and keep the operation moving in a professional, organized, and compliant manner. The position includes supervising daily store activity, coordinating employee breaks and customer coverage, prioritizing work, supporting employees with customer and transaction issues, and communicating important matters to the next shift and store leadership. Assistant Managers may open or close the dispensary and are responsible for following required procedures and accurately accounting for cash, including drawers, the safe, ATM, transfers, authorized payments, tips, and documented discrepancies. The Assistant Manager handles customer situations that frontline employees cannot resolve, including issues related to pricing, discounts, transactions, promotions, products, and store procedures. The role requires finding appropriate solutions within company policy, addressing employee performance or procedural problems, providing professional feedback, and documenting or escalating issues when appropriate. Assistant Managers help ensure compliance with Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division requirements. This is a full-time, on-site position. Management shifts may be assigned within a scheduling window of approximately 7:30 AM to 10:30 PM, Monday through Sunday, with weekend and holiday availability potentially required. Compensation is $19.00 per hour plus tips; tip income varies and is not guaranteed. Applicants must be at least 21 years old. The successful candidate must hold an active Colorado MED Employee License before beginning regulated cannabis work; eligible candidates may apply if willing to obtain one. Employees are responsible for obtaining, maintaining, and paying for the required license. High Plainz Strains is a privately owned Colorado cannabis company with operations in retail dispensaries, cultivation, extraction, manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution. The Assistant Manager role offers experience in employee supervision, cash control, customer escalation, compliance, opening and closing, shift execution, and retail decision-making. Advancement depends on demonstrated skills, judgment, performance, and available opportunities.
