Qdoba Assistant Manager
About The Position
Doherty Enterprises is accepting applications for future QDOBA Assistant Manager opportunities as it prepares to bring QDOBA locations to Northern and Central New Jersey. Specific locations and hiring timing will be shared as positions become available. The Assistant Manager supports daily restaurant operations alongside the General Manager or in the General Manager’s absence, with a focus on guest experience, food quality, team development, operational performance, and community engagement. The role helps deliver welcoming hospitality, maintain food safety and cleanliness, develop team members, monitor restaurant costs and results, and support marketing and sales growth.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of restaurant or retail management experience.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
- A passion for guest service and developing others.
- Ability to make decisions, prioritize tasks, and lead in a busy restaurant.
- Understanding of food safety, restaurant operations, and cost controls.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily restaurant operations alongside the General Manager or in the General Manager’s absence.
- Deliver welcoming hospitality, accurate orders, and consistently high food quality.
- Maintain restaurant cleanliness and uphold food safety, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Address guest concerns promptly and professionally.
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop team members and future leaders.
- Set clear expectations, provide feedback, and recognize team accomplishments.
- Build a culture of respect, teamwork, positivity, and accountability.
- Monitor sales, staffing, labor, food costs, and inventory to support restaurant goals.
- Review performance with restaurant leadership and take action to improve results.
- Protect company assets and follow cash handling and operational procedures.
- Build connections with guests and the local community.
- Support restaurant marketing and sales growth initiatives.
- Bring QDOBA’s values to life through hospitality, positivity, and performance.
