About The Position

Jersey Mike’s Subs is seeking an Assistant Manager to help deliver high-quality subs and exceptional customer service in a positive, team-oriented restaurant. The role supports the restaurant’s operations and community-focused culture, while helping employees grow and providing customers with a welcoming experience. The Assistant Manager helps lead a crew of 3 to 7 people, maintains restaurant cleanliness, supports employee training, and fills in for the Manager when needed. The position also involves opening and closing tasks, food preparation, scheduling, inventory ordering, and participation in management meetings and strategy sessions.

Requirements

High school degree or equivalent.
Must be at least 18 years old to operate the slicer.
Serve Safe Certification - Food Handler.
Reliable transportation.
Ability to multitask and work with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to communicate effectively with guests.
Excellent menu and product knowledge.
Desire to improve personal skills and abilities.
Ability to meet schedule requirements and be a reliable performer.

Nice To Haves

One year of quick-service restaurant (QSR) experience is preferred.
An awesome personality.

Responsibilities

Maintain a restaurant that is noticeably cleaner than others.

Serve as a key holder and perform tasks related to opening and closing the store.
Bake bread and perform food preparation.
Slice ingredients and products.
Manage and lead a crew of 3 to 7 people.
Create employee schedules.
Place inventory orders.
Fill in for the Manager in all capacities when needed.
Assist with employee training.
Lead by example.
Participate in management team meetings and strategy sessions.
Participate in Jersey Mike’s training programs.
Meet schedule requirements and perform reliably.
