About The Position

The Assistant Manager, Retail & Production partners with the General Manager to support shop operations and create an excellent customer experience. The role involves developing employees, promoting teamwork, supporting shop goals, and building the skills needed for potential advancement to General Manager. The Assistant Manager helps manage customer-focused teams, supports staffing and training, maintains product and promotion knowledge, handles shop accounting and inventory tasks, keeps equipment operational, and ensures the shop is clean and sanitary. The role also provides exceptional service in a welcoming environment where customers and employees feel valued.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Five years of experience in a job involving the food service or retail industry.
At least two years of management experience.
Commitment to nurturing an equitable, unbiased culture where employees are empowered to showcase their originality.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Travel requirement of 0–10%.

Responsibilities

Manage and develop a team of customer-focused employees through coaching, measurement, and fostering teamwork.
Assist the General Manager with recruiting, hiring, training, onboarding, and dispute resolution for team members.
Maintain knowledge of products and current promotions.
Assist with in-shop accounting, including cash handling, corporate financial and operational reporting, counting and depositing revenues, and inventory control.
Ensure production equipment, POS systems, retail equipment, drive-thru equipment, and processing equipment are operational for team members.
Maintain shop sanitation and cleanliness.
Provide exceptional customer service and foster a culture in which people feel welcomed and valued.
