About The Position

Krispy Kreme is seeking an Assistant Manager to support shop operations in partnership with the General Manager. The role focuses on delivering a positive customer experience, building a teamwork-oriented culture, developing team members, and meeting shop goals. The long-term objective is to develop the skills needed to become a General Manager at Krispy Kreme.

The Assistant Manager supports customer-focused team development, hiring and onboarding, shop accounting and inventory, equipment readiness, and shop sanitation. The position involves working in a shop environment with fluctuating temperatures and noise, including a non-air-conditioned production area, and potential exposure to allergens such as nuts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Five years of experience in a job involving the food-service or retail industry.
• At least two years of management experience.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to nurturing an equitable, unbiased culture where team members are empowered to express their originality.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Manage and build a team of customer-focused employees through coaching, measurement, and fostering teamwork.
• Assist the General Manager with recruiting, hiring, training, onboarding, and resolving team-member disputes.
• Maintain knowledge of products and current promotions.
• Assist with in-shop accounting, including cash handling, corporate financial and operational reporting, counting and depositing revenues, and inventory control.
• Ensure equipment and resources are operational for team-member use, including production equipment, POS systems, retail equipment, drive-thru, and processing equipment.
• Maintain shop sanitation and cleanliness.
• Provide exceptional customer service and nurture a culture where people feel welcomed and valued.
• Support shop operations and help meet or exceed location goals.
