About The Position

The Assistant Manager, Retail & Production partners with the General Manager to support shop operations and deliver a positive customer experience. The role helps build and develop a customer-focused team, supports staffing and administrative functions, and works to meet or exceed shop goals. This position also offers a development path toward becoming a General Manager at Krispy Kreme. The Assistant Manager helps maintain product and promotion knowledge, supports shop accounting and inventory control, ensures equipment and resources are operational, and maintains shop cleanliness and sanitation. The role also promotes an inclusive, welcoming culture for team members and customers.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Five years of experience in a job involving food service or the retail industry.
At least two years of management experience.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Commitment to nurturing an equitable, unbiased culture where employees are empowered to express their individuality.
Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Manage and build a customer-focused team through coaching, measurement, and fostering teamwork.
Assist the General Manager with recruiting, hiring, training, onboarding, and resolving team-member disputes.
Maintain knowledge of products and current promotions.
Assist with in-shop accounting, including cash handling, financial and operational reporting, depositing revenues, and inventory control.
Ensure production, POS, retail, drive-thru, and processing equipment and other resources are operational for team members.
Maintain shop sanitation and cleanliness.
Provide exceptional customer service and nurture a welcoming culture where people’s identities are valued.
