About The Position

The Restaurant Assistant Manager assists the Restaurant Manager with daily restaurant operations and supervises the team when the Restaurant Manager is absent. The role leads and coaches Restaurant Team Members and works with the management team to maintain Company and Brand operating standards and ensure guest satisfaction. The Assistant Manager supports food quality, food safety, cleanliness, guest service, hiring interviews, product training, and shift operations. The role monitors cash, sales, and inventory records and completes required shift paperwork. When the Restaurant Manager is absent, the Assistant Manager also handles additional administrative work, inventory and cash counts, and truck orders. The position contributes to a safe, compliant, and profitable restaurant and is expected to demonstrate the Company values: One Team, Do the Right Thing, Takes Ownership, and Play to Win.

Requirements

Full-time availability during all hours of operation, including at least one hour before opening and after closing.
Valid state driver's license.

Reach, grasp, and manipulate objects with hands for the entire shift, including reaching overhead.
Push, pull, lift, and carry up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 or more pounds occasionally, including lifting from ground level to overhead.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent guest service in a fast and friendly manner; coach and correct team members.
Conduct second interviews for team members and shift leads.
Maintain a clean restaurant through cleaning and general housekeeping; assign shift duties and follow up on completion.
Direct the team to prepare and serve food according to Brand, Company, and health department regulations; coach team members on food preparation and production management guidelines.
Share relevant information with team members and assist with new product training.
Place campaign materials upon request.
Ensure product quality, food safety, and operational standards are met.
Monitor and ensure the accuracy of cash, sales, and inventory control records during the shift.
Complete end-of-shift and end-of-day paperwork and counts as required, and communicate discrepancies to the immediate supervisor.
When the Restaurant Manager is absent, complete daily, weekly, and end-of-period paperwork, inventory and cash counts, truck orders, and other required administrative duties.
Ensure a safe environment for team members and guests by following government laws and safety codes.
Complete incident reports in accordance with the 5-minute rule policy.
Partner with the Restaurant Manager and take ownership of financial and operational metrics to help achieve a profitable restaurant.
