About The Position

The Theatre Assistant Manager in Training is a part-time, sales-oriented position responsible for providing quality guest service through ticket and concession sales while maintaining theatre cleanliness. The role offers a structured opportunity to gain the knowledge and skills needed to become an Assistant Manager within no more than 90 days. Applicants must be at least 18 years old.

Requirements

• Be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Maintain regular and consistent attendance.
• Actively listen, understand others' points, ask questions appropriately, and avoid interrupting inappropriately.
• Effectively communicate in and comprehend English.
• Perform math calculations quickly and accurately and identify and correct errors.
• Be able to obtain a food handlers permit.
• Be at least 18 years old and complete a background check before hire or promotion.

Responsibilities

• Engage guests with eye contact and a smile.
• Use suggestive sales techniques to inform guests about special promotions and savings.
• Complete ticket and concession transactions efficiently using point-of-sale terminals, accept all types of payment, and provide correct change.
• Maintain accurate cash and inventory levels.
• Assemble concession food and drinks, including popcorn, drinks, hot dogs, nachos, and pretzels.
• Conduct theatre checks and outdoor hardscape checks.
• Conduct crowd control.
• Clean inside and outside the concession stand and maintain concession supply stock.
• Clean theatre and lobby areas.
• Enforce the MPAA rating system.
