About The Position

The Assistant Manager: Freight Flow plays a key leadership role in driving sales and profitability, fostering a customer-first selling culture, and executing daily business priorities. The role leads store logistics processes that support company initiatives and productivity goals. In partnership with the Store Manager, this position leads and develops a high-performance team while upholding World Market’s values, brand, policies, and operational standards.

The role requires a flexible schedule that may include nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays, depending on business needs. It also requires standing for extended periods, bending, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 40 pounds as needed. Applicants must be at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Use company tools and training resources to ensure the team follows freight flow processes, visual execution standards, and stocking routines.
• Coordinate freight processing plans with the Store Manager.
• Validate and maintain Loss Prevention policies and procedures and inventory management initiatives.
• Maintain and manage stockroom organization and standards.
• Analyze business trends using available reporting, identify business opportunities, and take appropriate action.
• Exemplify, maintain, and foster World Market’s culture and values.
• Support and maintain a safe work environment through ongoing safety training, awareness, and accountability.
• Plan and execute daily business tasks and duties assigned by the Store Manager, including in the Store Manager’s absence.
• Lead and develop a high-performance team in partnership with the Store Manager.
