About The Position

The Assistant Manager: Freight Flow is a leadership role responsible for supporting sales and profitability, fostering a customer-first selling culture, and carrying out daily business priorities. The role leads store logistics processes that support company initiatives and productivity goals. In partnership with the Store Manager, the Assistant Manager helps lead and develop a high-performance team while upholding World Market’s values, brand, policies, and operational standards. The position oversees freight-flow processes, visual execution standards, stocking routines, freight-processing plans, loss-prevention procedures, inventory initiatives, and stockroom organization. It also involves reviewing business reporting to identify opportunities and take action, supporting a safe work environment, and executing daily business tasks assigned by or in the absence of the Store Manager.

At least 2 years of relevant leadership experience in a fast-paced specialty retail selling culture is preferred.

Responsibilities

Use company tools and training resources to ensure the team follows freight-flow processes, visual execution standards, and stocking routines.
Coordinate with the Store Manager to plan freight processing.
Validate and maintain loss-prevention policies and procedures and inventory-management initiatives.
Maintain and manage stockroom organization and standards.
Analyze business trends using available reporting, identify business opportunities, and take appropriate action.
Exemplify, maintain, and foster World Market’s culture and values.
Support a safe work environment through ongoing safety training, awareness, and accountability.
Plan and execute daily business tasks and duties assigned by or in the absence of the Store Manager.
Lead and develop a high-performance team in partnership with the Store Manager.
