About The Position

The Assistant Manager: Freight Flow plays a key leadership role in driving sales and profitability, fostering a customer-first selling culture, and executing daily business priorities by leading store logistics processes that support company initiatives and productivity goals. In partnership with the Store Manager, this role leads and develops a high-performance team while upholding World Market’s values, brand, policies, and operational standards.

• Ability to execute daily priorities efficiently.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays, depending on business needs.

• Minimum age of 21 years.

Responsibilities

• Use company tools and training resources to ensure the team follows freight flow processes, visual execution standards, and stocking routines.
• Coordinate freight processing plans with the Store Manager.
• Validate and maintain Loss Prevention policies and procedures and inventory management initiatives.
• Manage stockroom organization and standards.
• Analyze business trends using available reporting, identify opportunities, and take appropriate action.
• Exemplify, maintain, and foster World Market’s culture and values.
• Support and maintain a safe work environment through ongoing safety training, awareness, and accountability.
• Plan and execute daily business tasks and duties assigned by the Store Manager, including in the Store Manager’s absence.
