About The Position
The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill in Scottsdale, Arizona, is seeking a driven and enthusiastic Assistant Manager of Catering Sales to help attract new clients, strengthen client relationships, and grow the catering business. The role coordinates catering orders from initial inquiry through delivery, works with customers to understand event needs and provide quotes, and collaborates with kitchen and operations staff to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment. It also supports sales tracking, marketing strategies, and brand representation at local events. When not on sales calls, the assistant manager handles front-of-house operations. The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill is a franchise with close to 100 locations in the United States and overseas. The Scottsdale restaurant serves fresh, authentic Greek cuisine and describes its team as passionate, supportive, and dedicated to great food, hospitality, and an inviting guest experience.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in catering sales and front-of-house operations.
- Ability to quickly learn menu items and explain and sell them to customers.
- Strong communication and customer relationship management skills.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, follow-through, and ability to work as a team player.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and POS systems.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings as needed.
- Passion for food, hospitality, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing and growing catering sales by prospecting new clients and nurturing existing accounts.
- Coordinate catering orders from initial inquiry through delivery, ensuring a seamless client experience.
- Communicate with customers to understand event needs and provide accurate quotes.
- Collaborate with kitchen and operations staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Track catering leads, bookings, and sales metrics to support revenue goals.
- Assist in developing and implementing catering marketing strategies and promotions.
- Represent the brand at local networking events, tastings, and community functions.
- Handle front-of-house operations when not on sales calls.
