About The Position

The Assistant Leasing & Marketing Team Leader assists the Community Manager with property operations, concentrating on leasing, marketing, resident relations, and related community functions. The role strives for 100% occupancy by retaining existing residents, leasing available apartments, and pre-leasing future availability. The position is full-time and non-exempt, with hourly compensation, benefits, and bonus eligibility.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of customer service and sales experience.
• Strong communication skills.
• High energy and enjoyment of a fast-paced environment.
• Enjoy and take pride in providing excellent service.
• Excellent customer service skills; warm, friendly, and helpful in person and on the phone.
• Basic computer skills, including typing and the ability to write correspondence and memos.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Available to work evenings and weekends.
• Ability to embody the Cardinal Culture and Cardinal Core Values every day.

Responsibilities

• Greet prospective clients, qualify them, determine their needs and preferences, present the property and apartment homes, use feature-and-benefit selling, close the sale, and follow up in accordance with company leasing expectations and procedures.
• Answer incoming phone calls professionally and direct or handle them appropriately, whether from prospective clients, clients, company team members, or vendors.
• Complete lease applications and participate in application verification; notify prospective clients of results.
• Maintain accurate client records in accordance with company policy.
• Update daily reports, including notices to vacate, vacancy reports, and activity reports.
• Maintain and perform upkeep of the tour route to ensure curbside appeal.
• Assist residents with day-to-day tasks as part of the community's concierge program.
• Participate in Cardinal U training as required.
• Follow other instructions and perform related duties as assigned by the Team Leader.
