About The Position

Houlihan’s Restaurant & Bar offers a lively, approachable dining experience centered on made-from-scratch American cuisine, handcrafted cocktails, quality ingredients, and genuine hospitality. The Assistant Kitchen Manager supports the Executive Chef by managing kitchen operations, supervising culinary staff, and ensuring consistency, quality, and food safety. The role contributes to menu execution, staff training, and the maintenance of high culinary standards during daily service.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of kitchen management experience in a full-service, high-volume dining establishment.
• Strong knowledge of and attention to detail in back-of-house operations, including staff supervision, inventory controls, food and labor costs, and product quality.
• Strong communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Stable and progressive work history and a strong work ethic.

Nice To Haves

• Graduate of an accredited culinary program.

Responsibilities

• Promote guest satisfaction through a hands-on, lead-by-example management style and a commitment to doing whatever it takes.
• Assist the Executive Chef in managing back-of-house staff in a high-volume kitchen, including ongoing training, development, and follow-up.
• Achieve or exceed budgeted labor and other cost-center targets through planning and execution.
• Assist with weekly and monthly inventories and ordering food and supplies.
• Maintain sanitation procedures and an organized work area in accordance with OSHA regulations.
