About The Position

The Assistant in Training (AIT) supports Buckle’s mission to create the most enjoyable shopping experience possible for Guests. Working directly with the Store Manager and Leadership Team, the AIT contributes to sales, recruiting, merchandising, store operations, and the development of Teammates. The role shares responsibility for training and motivating Teammates and acting as Store Manager in the Store Manager’s absence. The Assistant Manager role is a progression from AIT and includes additional higher-level duties, while most duties and responsibilities are shared. The position combines Guest service and sales generation with Teammate recruiting, training, and development; visual merchandising; store operations; planning; and leadership. AITs help achieve store sales goals, maintain visual and operational standards, support staffing and training, and promote a positive, accountable team environment. The role may require travel to cover other stores within the District based on business needs. The listed pay range is $19–$23 per hour, estimated as base rate plus commission for sales positions. Final offers depend on factors including skill set, experience, location, and qualifications. Buckle describes benefits for both full-time and part-time Teammates; eligibility and availability vary by benefit and employment status.
