About The Position

Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking a dynamic, service-oriented Assistant General Manager for Springhill Suites by Marriott Tallahassee. The role oversees hotel operations under the direction of the General Manager and supports guest satisfaction, brand standards, financial performance, staffing, and the effective operation and upkeep of the property. The successful candidate will contribute to SHG’s service culture and work in a company that promotes associate development and career growth.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years' experience as an Assistant General Manager.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Financial savvy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or Business.

Responsibilities

• Manage budgets and financial plans and control expenditures.
• Oversee hotel operations under the direction of the General Manager.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction and support brand metrics.
• Ensure compliance with brand standards.
• Maintain statistical and financial records.
• Set and achieve sales and profit targets.
• Recruit, train, and monitor staff.
• Plan work schedules for individuals and teams.
• Meet and greet customers.
• Handle customer complaints and comments.
• Address problems and troubleshoot.
• Ensure events and conferences run smoothly.
• Supervise maintenance, supplies, renovations, and furnishings.
• Work with contractors and suppliers.
• Ensure security is effective.
• Carry out inspections of the property and services.
• Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety requirements, and other statutory regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet business objectives.
