About The Position

Five Iron Golf is a sports, hospitality, and entertainment brand backed by Callaway Golf and Enlightened Hospitality Investments. This posting is part of its ongoing leadership talent network for current and future markets and is not necessarily tied to an immediate opening at every location. The Assistant General Manager - Social works closely with the General Manager to deliver memorable guest experiences and genuine hospitality. The role coaches staff to provide exceptional service and leads the Golf Experience Team in guiding guests through their Five Iron Golf experience, supporting guest satisfaction and engagement. The position oversees the social side of location operations, helps drive revenue, and promotes the fun and excitement of golf and Five Iron Golf’s offerings. This is an exempt, full-time role. The schedule requires nights, weekends, and holidays. Pay is $50,000–$70,000, with potential for a bonus of up to $10,000. Applications remain active for 90 days and may be considered for current or future opportunities. Relocation may be considered depending on business need and market timing.

Requirements

At least 5 years of hospitality management experience, including at least 1 recent year as an Assistant General Manager or General Manager.
Strong leadership ability and willingness to lead by example.
Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
Upbeat energy, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude.
Ability to think on your feet and manage customer expectations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with a team.
Availability to work onsite in the space during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods and maneuver up and down stairs.
Ability to obtain the proper licenses and certifications for the location.

Responsibilities

Drive revenue in simulator rentals, food and beverage sales, and league sales.
Participate in staff recruitment, hiring, and training; manage onboarding and continued education for new hires.
Evaluate employee performance to ensure day-to-day business needs are met.
Manage social-side operations, including leagues, simulator rental experiences, event execution, facilities maintenance, food and beverage service, and social staff scheduling.
Set and uphold exceptional service standards for staff.
Support efficient operations by monitoring and reducing labor and other operating costs.
Maintain an understanding of the location’s P&L and assist with local marketing.
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of products and services, including technology, lessons, leagues, memberships, and food and beverage offerings, and use that knowledge to sell and cross-sell.
Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide personalized recommendations.
Build community relationships, foster customer loyalty, and encourage repeat business through proactive engagement.
Oversee guest communications and interactions before, during, and after visits to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
Handle administrative tasks related to sales transactions and customer service inquiries.
Collaborate with team members to align efforts and achieve business goals.
Oversee the sales, execution, and management of leagues and one-off tournaments throughout the year.
Take ownership of guests’ enjoyment and satisfaction at Five Iron Golf.
Ensure the location follows health and safety regulations and complies with local laws, including alcohol service laws.
