About The Position

Five Iron Golf is building a leadership talent network for current and future markets as the company expands. The Assistant General Manager - Social (AGM-S) works closely with the General Manager to create memorable guest experiences and coach staff to deliver exceptional service and genuine hospitality. The role leads the Golf Experience Team, guiding guests through their Five Iron Golf experience and promoting the fun, excitement, and distinctive offerings of the sport and venue. The AGM-S oversees the social side of the business, including leagues, simulator rentals, events, facilities maintenance, food and beverage service, and staff scheduling. The role contributes to hiring, training, employee development, performance management, revenue generation, cost control, local marketing, and compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service laws. It also builds customer and community relationships and supports guests throughout their visits. This is an exempt, full-time position. Nights, weekends, and holidays are required. The listed salary is $50,000–$70,000, with bonus potential of up to $10,000. Benefits apply to full-time employees. Requirements

At least 5 years of hospitality management experience, including at least 1 recent year as an Assistant General Manager or General Manager.
Strong leadership ability and willingness to lead by example.
Exemplary communication, time management, and organizational skills.
Upbeat energy, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude.
Ability to think on one’s feet and manage customer expectations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with a team.
Availability to work in the venue on evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Ability to obtain required location-specific licenses and certifications.

Responsibilities

Drive revenue in simulator rentals, food and beverage sales, and leagues.
Participate in recruiting, hiring, and training staff; manage new-hire onboarding and continued education.
Evaluate employee performance to ensure day-to-day business needs are met.
Manage social-side operations, including leagues, simulator rental experiences, event execution, facilities maintenance, food and beverage service, and staff scheduling.
Set and uphold exceptional service standards.
Monitor and reduce labor and other operating costs to support efficient operations.
Maintain an understanding of the location’s P&L and assist with local marketing.
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of products and services, including technology, lessons, leagues, memberships, and food and beverage offerings; use this expertise to sell and cross-sell.
Engage customers to understand their needs and provide personalized recommendations.
Build community relationships, foster customer loyalty, and encourage repeat business through proactive engagement.
Oversee pre-visit communications, onsite interactions, and post-visit follow-ups to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
Handle administrative tasks related to sales transactions and customer service inquiries.
Collaborate with team members to align efforts and achieve business goals.
Oversee the sales, execution, and management of seasonal leagues and one-off tournaments.
Take ownership of guests’ enjoyment and satisfaction at Five Iron Golf.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and applicable local laws, including alcohol service laws.
