About The Position
Mister Car Wash is hiring an Assistant General Manager in Training (AGMIT) for an accelerated development program designed to prepare the successful candidate for an Assistant General Manager role and, over time, leadership of a location as a General Manager. The AGMIT works closely with an experienced Certified Trainer to learn daily operations, understand performance data, develop team leadership skills, support staffing and employee relations, and acquire basic functional and mechanical skills for facility maintenance and customer-quality standards. The role is suited to someone who enjoys a fast-paced, customer-facing service environment and is interested in growing with an expanding company.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of proven leadership experience, such as leading a team, supervising shifts, or managing people in a customer-facing environment.
- Understanding of high-volume retail or service operations and how to deliver consistent, high-quality customer experiences.
- Ability to take initiative, lead by example, model company values, and drive team performance, motivation, and accountability.
- Ability to coach and develop others, give clear feedback, build confidence, and help team members take on new responsibilities.
- Ability to stay organized and focused in a fast-moving environment with competing priorities.
- Enjoyment of working with people and bringing positivity to interactions.
- Willingness to work outdoors in a fast-paced setting through all weather conditions.
- Ability to adapt quickly, stay curious, and pursue growth in a leadership role.
Responsibilities
- Learn daily operating routines, including opening and closing, quality and safety practices, and maintaining smooth site flow.
- Understand performance data and make decisions that drive results.
- Develop team coaching, employee development, and performance management skills.
- Support staffing, recruitment, and employee relations.
- Learn basic functional and mechanical skills to help maintain the facility and meet customer quality expectations.
